A lot of people wonder what ball players listen to inside those headphones of theirs on game day. Now, Drake might not exactly be pump-up music, but Brandon Jennings is looking like a serious Drake fan these days and we’re lovin’ it.

Global Grind caught up with Jennings as he was on his way home from Target purchasing not one, not two, but NINE copies of Drake’s album. Jennings had his fair share to say about Drake and all the critics that get at Drake because of his sweater game.

Brandon Jennings Wants To Know, “Are You From Here?”

Check out the exclusive interview with Jennings about his R&B loves below. Drake can rest easy now knowing that Jennings’ has his sweater covered back.

You said you bought nine copies of Drake album. Have you played it yet?

Yeah. It’s probably one of the albums of the year, before Rick Ross’ come out. I’m sure Rick Ross album is gonna be crazy.

Do you have any favorite songs?

“Look What You’ve Done” is probably one of the songs that’s really touched me, because I can play that to my mother and my grandmother, and “Take A Shot For Me.” That’s dedicated to all my ex girlfriends.

Did you wait until the album came out or did you get it online when it leaked?

Nah, I had to wait until the album came out because I’m a real fan. Drake gives us so much great free music, so I had to wait until the album came out.

When did you first start getting into his music? Did you remember him from Degrassi?

The first time I heard Drake was in “Replacement Girl” with Trey Songz. I was like “Yo, this dude is nice.” And ever since Comeback Season and So Far Gone, I haven’t heard anything bad from him or that made me question him.

Do you have any all time favorite Drake songs?

When he first came out with “Still Fly,” I was like like this dude is on his way. Then he dropped “So Far Gone.” He should’ve gotten a Grammy off that.

How do you feel about all the rappers that have been coming at Drake lately? They make fun of his singing and his sweaters, all of that.

Drake is in his own little lane though. And the end of the day, you can’t hate on Drake. You can’t sit there and say Drake isn’t good at what he does. He’s emotional but from my experience, that’s what woman want to hear – how beautiful they are, their hair, how much men appreciate them and how proud they are. When he came out with “Make Me Proud,” if you a female, you gotta appreciate that because you don’t have him out here calling you names or this and that. He is actually telling you how beautiful you are and how much he appreciates you. That’s what my girl wants to hear when we riding, so that’s what I’m playing. At the end of the day if thats what she wants to hear, that’s what I want to play too.
