Memphis rapper Don Trip stopped by the Sway In The Morning on Shade 45 radio show and performed a freestyle rap in the presence of greatness.

Trip, known for his “Letter To My Son” track about single fathers, joined in on the fun for the show’s famous “5 fingers of death freestyle,” but instead chose to rap a capella. As he’s getting ready to spit, Russell Simmons walks in, instilling much intimidation into Trip.

But that doesn’t stop his flow, as he gives a 3-minute emotional freestyle about his life and problems in society. He ends it with “Fuck a President. He ain’t broke, so he ain’t black enough. Or maybe it’s just me. Or maybe I’m just out of touch.”

He blew away Sway and his crew and even Russell, who declares “That’s some heartfelt, real sh*t right there.”
