It seems like the biggest draw in NYC last night was the screening of Albert Nobbs, presented by Giorgio Armani and The Cinema Society at MoMA.

Taraji P. Henson, Rose Byrne, Glenn Close, Courtney Love, Francisco Clemente, Viola Davis, Angela Bassett, Sinead O’Connor, Zoe Kravitz, John Leguizamo, and dozens of young and working Hollywood stars turned out in droves to see Close play a woman passing as a man in order to work and survive in 19th century Ireland.

Directed by Rodrigo Garcia and based on a short story by Irish novelist George Moore, Close’s character finds herself trapped in a prison of her own making some thirty years after donning men’s clothing.

Of course it makes sense that some of the most powerful, talented and controversial figures in the game would support Close, who is no stranger to portraying strong women.

One of those figures was Taraji P. Henson, who wore a rose colored sleeveless dress with oversized bracelets to the screening. It’s a very understated look, but we love the accessories and her over all presentation.
