Vera Wang ditched the black clothing clad ranks of the NYC streets and ran for The Hills.

Well, not quite, but the designer has purchased a sleek four-bedroom house in Beverly Hills.

Famed for her work on almost everyone-who-is-anyone’s wedding dresses and for her sleek home decor pieces, the New York born designer’s brand has quickly become a household name.

Vera isn’t quite ready to permanently join the ranks of the Zen-infused Californians, but she is interested in making 90210 her temporary zip code.

“It’s a Zen escape. New York for me is about work. If L.A. were to become a West Coast version of that, I’d shoot myself. The climate, the lifestyle — it really fits as the yin to my New York yang,” the designer explains to Harper’s Bazaar.

Vera allowed the publication to photograph her new Zen space she outfitted with minimalist designs and a subtle hint of understated luxury; like a classic gown. It is safe to say that based on these photos, Vera puts the same precision into her house hunting that she does to her dress making.

“I looked and looked, but when I found this one I felt so immediately comfortable being in it,” she told Harper’s.

Vera is also very specific with her vision of real estate perfection: a light-drenched aerie with floor-to-ceiling glass walls that overlooks the Los Angeles Basin and the Pacific Ocean, a sweeping view that she deems “insane,” and that is exactly the bliss she found in this mid-century estate.

Check out the photos of Vera Wang’s new estate in the gallery above. Try not to catch a case of serious closet envy.
