For fans of the Bathing Ape brand, you may know that Hong Kong-based clothing company I.T bought BAPE last year from Tomoaki Nagao, best known as Nigo.

Nigo held the title of the brand’s creator and lead designer, but agreed to stay on as creative director for two years after he sold a 90 percent majority stake in the Nowhere Group, which included A Bathing Ape.

Never one to just give up, Nigo has been releasing collections under his new brand HUMAN MADE.

His latest HUMAN MADE collection was featured in the May 2012 issue of Japan’s HUGE magazine and features none other than Nigo’s longtime friend and business partner Pharrell.

Pharrell looks ridiculously cool in everything that he puts on, which is exactly what you would expect from ol’ Skateboard P. The brand is a lot more grown up and sophisticated than Bape ever was, but it still has a touch of fun. Without a doubt, HUMAN MADE is a sure-fire progression for anyone who used to wear Bape when they were younger, but have grown out of the brand’s loud colors and graphics.
