Raffles van Exels believes he’s in the clear with cops for cleaning Whitney Houston‘s hotel room the night she died.

DETAILS: Whitney Houston’s Room Cleaner, Raffles van Exel Confesses!

Last week, the Dutchman who calls himself a celebrity consultant told a Dutch newspaper that he cleaned up Whitney’s room, removing clothes and sweeping her luxury suite before cops arrived. “Someone had to do it,” he said.

Now the NY Daily News reports that Raffles believes he’s free of any suspicion.

While his behavior was viewed as inappropriate, people close to van Exel apparently told the gossip site he was “extremely relieved” he wasn’t in the cross hairs of Beverly Hills probers.

Police wanted to know if anyone removed critical evidence from the singer’s room, and they had their eye on Raffles.

DETAILS: Cocaine FOUND Inside Whitney Houston’s Room

Last week it was reported that cops did find a white powdery substance in Whitney’s room and after testing, it turned out to be cocaine.

Cops are not investigating any rumors that someone removed anything from the singer’s room. So Raffles is indeed in the clear.
