When the prestigious institution New York University announced that they were inviting “Wonton Soup” rapper Lil B to give a lecture, confusion swept intellectuals and hip-hop heads alike.
The former The Pack rapper has been known for his odd declarations, such as referring to himself as a “pretty bitch.”
Let’s not forget that he titled his album I’m Gay (I’m Happy), to take the negative connotations out of the word gay and counteract homophobia.
Lil B touched base on everything from “no honor in war” and politics to “embracing yourself,” and he even boasted about being the first rapper to adopt a cat.
After having a serious conversation about respect and honor, Lil B announced:
“You know I’m the first rapper to adopt a tabby cat. You know I adopted straight from the ASPCA, you feel me? Just breaking the boundaries, man, showing everybody it’s okay to be yourself. Embrace yourself. Embrace your health. Ayyy! Just continue to love yourself and accept.”
