And movie-goers, fans and comic book enthusiasts couldn’t be more hyped to finally see Stan Lee’s S.H.I.E.L.D. kick some major ass on the silver screen.

That’s some major Crew Love.

However, we here at GlobalGrind got to thinking.

If we had to compare The Avengers to current day hip-hop & R&B, which music artists’ personas would most relate to the personalities of our favorite comic book heroes?

Without a doubt, Rick Ross takes the cake as the perfect Hulk candidate. And Jay-Z‘s the obvious choice for Captain America – both these guys are leaders of the pack in their own respective worlds.

However, there’s still eight more heroes unaccounted for.

Check out our list to find out which artists we matched to the remaining members of The Avengers on the next few pages.

Rick Ross / The Hulk: Based off pure strength in the industry, mass and the occasional green, Rick Ross takes the cake on this one.

Kanye West / Iron Man (Tony Stark) – When it comes to Tony Stark’s genius, yet badass billionaire ways, there’s only one music artist that comes to mind – Kanye West. Sorry Ghostface, but ‘Ye can blend in with the elite of fashion and luxury, and still deliver stellar, well crafted and creative projects – at the same damn time!

Diddy / Nick Fury: Diddy and Nick Fury each dealt with their own set of conflicts when it came to Uptown Records and S.H.I.E.L.D, respectively. But after severing ties with their former associations, both men turned to form their own establishments. Diddy built Bad Boy Records, and Fury, the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate. The roster for both collectives sported some pretty notable names as well.

T.I. / Thor: Who else you know bang hammers like the King of The South?!

Drake / Hawkeye: In regards to the ‘blind-romance’ affair weaved between Hawkeye and the Black Widow in the comic book storyline, it seemed only right to pair Drizzy with the ‘straight-shooter’ and the Black Widow with…

Rihanna / Black Widow: A badass female ‘with all the right weaponry,’ and of course the romantic relationship between herself and Hawkeye aka Drake.
