The epic Marvel comic crew-turned-movie blockbuster ensemble The Avengers finally hit theaters today!

Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Nick Fury join forces as one of the most esteemed comic book superhero teams ever.

And movie-goers, fans and comic book enthusiasts couldn’t be more hyped to finally see Stan Lee’s S.H.I.E.L.D. kick some major ass on the silver screen.

That’s some major Crew Love.

However, we here at GlobalGrind got to thinking.

If we had to compare The Avengers to current day hip-hop & R&B, which music artists’ personas would most relate to the personalities of our favorite comic book heroes?

Without a doubt, Rick Ross takes the cake as the perfect Hulk candidate. And Jay-Z‘s the obvious choice for Captain America – both these guys are leaders of the pack in their own respective worlds.

However, there’s still eight more heroes unaccounted for.

Rick Ross / The Hulk: Based off pure strength in the industry, mass and the occasional green, Rick Ross takes the cake on this one.

Kanye West / Iron Man (Tony Stark) – When it comes to Tony Stark’s genius, yet badass billionaire ways, there’s only one music artist that comes to mind – Kanye West. Sorry Ghostface, but ‘Ye can blend in with the elite of fashion and luxury, and still deliver stellar, well crafted and creative projects – at the same damn time!

Diddy / Nick Fury: Diddy and Nick Fury each dealt with their own set of conflicts when it came to Uptown Records and S.H.I.E.L.D, respectively. But after severing ties with their former associations, both men turned to form their own establishments. Diddy built Bad Boy Records, and Fury, the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate. The roster for both collectives sported some pretty notable names as well.
