“Everything means nothing, when you’re broken. What you did can’t be undone…”

Those are the opening words of “Broken,” the new single from Far Rockaway rapper Beyond Belief.

The somber and heartfelt song, which features singer Katt Rockell on the hook, is an ode to a friend of his who recently overdosed on drugs.

In the video, which Beyond Belief directed and edited, we see the MC dealing with the loss of his friend by drowning himself in his own vice — alcohol.

MTVu recently labeled “Broken” as their freshman video of the week. Even though MTV labeled Beyond Belief a freshman, the rapper is no newbie to this game. He’s been at it for years.

Beyond Believe was co-writer/performer of the Seattle Supersonics 2004-2005 playoff season theme song, plus he has already released two mixtapes, Bobby J From Rockaway and Beyond Your Reach, and a debut album, What About BOB?

Check out Beyond Belief’s latest jawn and tell us if you’re feeling it.
