There are very few things that rocker Lenny Kravitz hasn’t dabbled in.

The rocker is coming down from starring in one of the biggest movies of the season, The Hunger Games, as designer to the main character Katniss Everdeen.

Now, art seems to be imitating life as the musician is taking on a role as the guest designer for TOMS Spring/ Summer 2012 collection.

The collaboration, however, is not an arbitrary one. Apparently Lenny and TOMS creator Blake Mycoskie met two years ago and have been friends ever since, but it wasn’t until Lenny’s daughter Zoe brought up the idea of a collaboration that he put some thought to it.

The collaborative deal on the one-for-one shoe movement saw the classic TOMS designs twisted in with Lenny’s love for prints and a even a few lines from his song “Let Love Rule.”

Aside from his love for the shoe’s design, Kravitz has a use of his own for the new shoe. According to an interview with the Associated Press, Lenny keeps TOMS in his house.

He told them: He stocks pairs for guests to wear in his homes, where he has a “no street shoe” rule. “No shoes in my house,” he explains. “I like to lay around the floors, and I have nice floor coverings and shags and sheepskins, and I don’t like bringing in things from the outside.”
