Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana will showcase a small collection of their first couture clothing line July 9th in Taormina, Sicily.

Following in the footsteps of other Italian designers such as Versace and Armani, the announcement of a higher-end Dolce & Gabbana line comes as no surprise.
In 2005, Armani launched its first couture line, Armani Prive, and back in January, Versace debuted its first couture collection in eight years at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Although Dolce & Gabbana has designed several custom couture gowns for celebrities, such as the one Scarlett Johansson wore to this year’s Costume Institute gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this will be the designers’ first couture collection and we are definitely on the edge of our seats waiting for the big unveiling!
