E! News confirmed that a rep for ESPN advised them the Grammy Award-winning Confessions singer would not be in attendance for sports’ biggest awards show.
This would have been the first public appearance Usher made since the accident. Last Saturday, Tameka Raymond’s son Kile was in a terrible accident at Lake Lanier in Georgia, involving a jet ski that left 11-year-old brain dead. Since the accident, police have confirmed the driver of the jet ski was family friend, Jeffery S. Hubbard.
While no charges have been filed, the accident is currently under investigation. As we exclusively reported, Usher’s ex Tameka has not given any statement, but has remained silent in prayer and she is still by her son’s side.
