NeNe Leakes is a grandmother!
The proud 44-year-old Real Housewife of Atlanta showed off her beautiful 2-month old granddaughter named Bri’asia Bryant. Although the baby is a gem, she came as a surprise to the reality star.

NeNe revealed to In Touch that her 22-year old son Bryson had not told her his 21-year-old girlfriend was expecting. She said:
“I only found out about everything because I ran into Ashley when she was more than six months along.”
“I said, ‘You look pregnant.’ And she said, ‘Hasn’t Bryson told you?’ But he hadn’t because he knew that I wouldn’t approve of him having a child so young.”
Being that Bryson is still in his early 20s, NeNe felt her eldest son was most definitely not ready for a daughter. Having experience, she said:

“I didn’t feel like he was ready for such a big responsibility. I was his age when I had him, so I know how tough it is. I didn’t want him to make the same mistakes that I did. I needed to let it sink in.”
Although the sudden news originally did not settle well with NeNe, she’s not leaving her son and his girlfriend out to dry. Making sure the little one is well taken care of, she said:
“I paid for everything in the nursery: the clothing, the diapers. I don’t want her to feel strapped,” she says — she’s gone completely “crazy” buying gifts for the baby, including “little dresses, sparkly headbands, and Gucci shoes … We just love her.”
