It takes a creative mind to be a good songwriter. It takes the same kind of creative mind to be a good author. That’s why it’s surprising that Joy Deja King is the only notable author-turned-rapper we can think of.

INTERVIEW: Meet Cash Money’s NY Times Best Selling Dynamic Duo Ashley & JaQuavis

But Joy really is on an island by herself. Joy, who has gotten famous off her Queen Bitch and Mafia Princess books, is now transitioning her success as an author to the rap game.

Joy just dropped her Boss Bitch Music EP.

The premise of the EP is that Joy is being interviewed, so before each song there is a short segment where Joy answers questions about her life and career.

Highlights of Boss Bitch Music, which is heavily influenced by the South, include the EP’s Ca$h Out-assisted first single, “I’m the Bomb,” and the Biggie-inspired “10 Bitch Commandments.”

Give the EP a listen down below and if you’re feeling it then give it a free cop here
