Todd Akin’s sparked a huge controversy when he made comments last week about abortion in the case of rape stating that women could not get pregnant from “legitimate rape”.

VIDEO: Really?!? Paul Ryan Is Proud Of His Pro-Life Record

Paul Ryan has also chimed in his views on the topic during an interview with WJHL. The vice presidential candidate called rape a “method of conception” and not a way to allow abortions.

He stated:

“I’m very proud of my pro-life record, and I’ve always adopted the idea that, the position that the method of conception doesn’t change the definition of life.”

MSNBC’s Steve Benen responded to Romney’s comments where he wrote:

“In this case, when Ryan says ‘the method of conception’ is irrelevant, he’s talking about rape. In other words, the Republicans’ vice presidential nominee clearly believes the government should force women to take their pregnancy to term if they are impregnated by a rapist.”

“Republicans can only distance themselves so much from Todd Akin before we realize they share his views.”

This is surely a questionable statement from Ryan. Check out the video above to see the VP candidate’s inteview with WJHL.
