Need a hint that your favorite punk band might be getting up there in years? How about when one of the band members gets his or her kid to rock with them on stage?

Enter No Doubt.

The other day, the legendary band was on Ellen promoting their new album Push and Shove, their first project in over a decade.

While on the show, the conversation turned personal — more specifically about Gwen Stefani and her two children, Kingston and Zuma.

Ellen DeGeneres asked Gwen if her two children were musical. Gwen claimed that Kingston, who’s five years old, liked to play the guitar (well, pretend at least).

Then we got to see some super adorable footage of Kingston rocking out with No Doubt while they were practicing to be on the show.

It was a pretty sweet sight to see. And proof that you can’t learn rock ‘n’ roll — it’s all in the bloodline.

Check out the footage of little Kingston rocking out above, and don’t forget to pick up No Doubt’s new album, Push and Shove, which is currently in stores.
