MTV caught up with G.O.O.D Music rapper Q-Tip on the red carpet at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta over the weekend.

When asked why he didn’t appear on G.O.O.D Music’s Cruel Summer compilation album, the former A Tribe Called Quest frontman responded:

“I know, I know, I’m sorry about that but I have to let the cat out of the bag. Kanye’s probably gonna get…”

Before finishing his sentence, Q-Tip called over fellow G.O.O.D. Music rapper Pusha T to discuss the details of a possible Cruel Summer sequel. Once Pusha arrived, Q-Tip asked the “New God Flow” rapper:

“If there’s a Cruel Summer then there’s got to be a Cruel Winter, right?”

Pusha T didn’t say much, but his facial expression said it all. There will probably be a sequel to Cruel Summer

Cruel Summer debuted at number two on the charts with 216,000 copies sold in the first week, and is currently available at a music retailer near you.
