<p>Mariah Carey is moving forward with a new album thanks to her an anticipated remix effort titled "Angels Advocate" being scrapped by her label.</p><p>Confirming news of the scrapped album, which had been due for release March 30, Carey’s management said "We are looking to go possibly to another studio album or Christmas album" Monday, March 22.</p><p>News of the effort being scrapped follows Carey’s "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" album’s failure in comparison to previous efforts.</p><p>Released fall of 2009, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" spawned the singles "I Want To Know What Love Is," "H.A.T.E.U." and the buzz record "Obsessed".</p><p>The album opened at no.3 on the Billboard 200 thanks to 168,000 copies sold during its first week, in comparison to over 433,000 copies of the 2008 effort "E=MC2" sold in its first week.</p>
