The Feds in New Jersey intercepted a major shipment of counterfeit accessories including purses and other items that would have been valued at an estimated $20 million if real.

The containers included counterfeit bags, belts and wallets replicated from brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Michael Kors.

According to WWDthe Customs and Border Officers at the Port of New York/New Jersey said that they nabbed 537 cartons of designer knockoff handbags and other accessories. According to officials, the shipment of imported wares had been declared as “plastics” on entry documents. That apparently raised eyebrows.

Whoops, guess you’ve got to get your lady the real thing this Christmas.
