After many rumors about a possible James Brown biopic, producer Brian Grazer finally confirms that the movie will embark on the beginning stages of casting.
Brian Grazer has owned the rights of James Brown’s biopic for more than a decade, and over the past few years, he’s really been honing in on the vision he wants to portray in the film.

Brian isn’t the only man with a vision, rock legend Mick Jagger is also helping Brian Grazer produce the film, alongside British playwrights Jez and John-Henry Butterworth.
There’s still no word of who will actually play the “King of Soul,” but Brian Grazer said he’s in search of an actor who can capture James’ “genius.”
