John Mayer is coming to terms with his past.
The Casanova came out and called himself a ‘jerk,’ and we think a few of his ex-girlfriends would definitely agree!
The now 35-year-old singer seems to have done some soul-searching in the last few years. On “CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood” Mayer took a look back on his past relationships, citing that he hasn’t always been prince charming.

“I was just a jerk,” he told Anthony Mason. He claims to be a changed man, however, and claims he only wanted to be liked. “It’s very liberating when you finally realize it’s impossible to make everyone like you. I wanted everybody to like me. I thought I was one shuck and jive away in every direction,” he said.

He also touched on his recent throat surgery and how the possibility of not singing again affected him.
Luckily, he’s still able to wow us with his soulful voice and guitar riffs.
Mayer is currently dating 28-year-old pop sensation Katy Perry and things between the two seem to be heating up! We wish them the best of luck and hope Mayer truly is a changed man!
