And the GRAMMY shade continues.

Many fans were upset that Canadian electronic duo Purity Ring did not take home an award for Best Dance/Electronic album on Sunday night for their 2012 debut studio album Shrines.

In fact, they should have at least received a nomination.

The album reached number thirty-two on the Billboard 200 charts and peaked at number two on the Dance/Electronic albums chart.

So in response to being snubbed at the 55th annual award show, they did a cover of Soulja Boy’s “Grammy.”

They demand recognition with the lyrics:

  • What do you want from me
  • Cause I’ve given you everything
  • What do you need from me
  • Are you not happy with anything
  • Is it not good enough
  • Am I not good enough

The pair put a twist on the song by flushing out the electronic beats that the rapper already had in place. This catchy and energetic tune is worth a listen.
