Reminiscent of the John Singleton-directed movie, Poetic Justice, Kendrick’s video revamps the essence of Compton’s complex world of violence, struggle, rivalry, and brutality, marked with a romantic twist of poetic justice, of course.
Imagery of 40 ounces and old school Chevys flash on the screen as games of craps ensue.
It all seems like a typical night in Compton, but as an angry dark figure encroaches upon Kendrick and his leading lady’s apparent bliss, chaos emerges and the possibility of vanished love becomes reality.

Unlike more recent hip-hop videos, Kendrick’s video is captivating for not only the poetic story it portrays; there’s something about Kendrick’s fresh-faced leading lady that has the ‘net buzzing.
The mahogany-skinned beauty with innocent brown eyes and baby hair to die for has stolen the spotlight as hip-hop’s new “it” girl.
GlobalGrind did some investigating and discovered the youthful beauty’s name is Brittany Sky.
Brittany Sky is more than a pretty face. The “Poetic Justice” beauty recently received her Master’s degree at St. John University in New York City and is currently working on launching her own site, frombtoyou.com, which launches this week.
