It’s hard to visualize Kanye West as a fashion boss. He would either be all Tim Gunn circa Project Runway calmly saying, “make it work,” or he could easily be the screaming pincushion-throwing Yeezy we saw on stage at his London show.

While we can only guess what type of boss the rapper would be, one thing’s for sure: He is hiring.

According to a report by Fashionista, Kanye West is jumping back into the design realm and looking for someone to help him with his dream.
We heard from a reliable source that West, who did not plan a runway show for this Paris fashion week, is interviewing designers to assemble a design team. He’s also, we hear, briefed people on what he wants his next collection to look like: “sexy Margiela.”
Which is not surprising considering how heavily Margiela plays into both his song lyrics and personal wardrobe. We wonder if he’s fallen out of love with Givenchy, which was almost too strong an influence on his last collection.
The report, if true, would make sense considering Kanye’s recent plans to move to Paris for a few months to work on his new album. Inspiration on top of inspiration; we can dig it.
Sexy Margiela, though? Why are we having problems visualizing that?
