Fall Out Boy are guitar heroes that have the power to Save Rock And Roll!
As fans await the band’s highly anticipated album – which serves as a comeback from their long-time hiatus – Pete Wentz and co. release the album cover, featuring a young boy wearing traditional monk garb and another young boy wearing a t-shirt and jeans, blowing some smoke.
The two kids side-by-side is meant to evoke a thought of “old and new clashing.”
“We came across the punk and monk image on the Internet and it really solidified what we were trying to get across on the record: The idea of old and new clashing. Tradition and change coming together,” FOB wrote about the cover on their official site. “Obviously this is an image that means a lot to many people … these kids represent the youth, change and irreverence that we hope our record is listened to with.”
Yeah, the contrast in their cover art is really dope!
