Date night would have been perfect if the car didn’t land on the neighbor’s roof!

A homeowner in Glendale, California was shocked when he noticed a Cadillac on the roof of his home. Husband and wife, Robert and Galina Wynn, were on their way to enjoy a date night when their car became airborne after breaking through their neighbor’s fence.

Galina Wynn told KABC, “As soon as we hit the corner, the airbags deployed and I didn’t even see where we were going from there because the view was obscured.”

Wynn’s husband Robert reportedly lost control of the car. Wynn said her husband tried to stop the faulty car but was unsuccessful.

Neighbors rushed to the couple’s rescue. Grabbing a ladder, a neighbor assisted the couple off the roof. The fire department brought a large crane to carefully lift the Cadillac off the house and back on the street.

Surprisingly, the case of a car landing on a neighbor’s roof is not unusual to the community of Glendale.

Glendale police Lt. Scott Bickle said, “You know I’ve seen other similar collisions. We have a lot of hillsides here in Glendale. But this was very unique that it landed the way it did and didn’t go through the roof of the home and cause some injuries.”

The occupants in the home were unharmed and Wynn and her husband are fine. Their car, on the other hand, is in need of major repair.

The roofs in Glendale are going to give the housing market an extra boost! If it can sustain a Caddy, it can take on anything!
