Instagram user and apparent sneaker insider @Simon5302 may have single-handedly set the internet on fire today when he posted an alleged picture of a new colorway for the Air Yeezy 2.
While the first two were in contrasting colors, the possible third colorway is a tonal red and we are definitely fans of it. We are hoping that the soles glow just like the first did, and that they come with an additional set of laces in red. Although this color has not been confirmed there are a few reasons why we believe that this may be true.

Back in April 2012 when the Yeezy 2 was initially released, it was rumored that the third colorway would be all red. Additionally, the first Air Yeezy was released in three different colorways and the Yeezy 2 has only released in two colors so far. Because of this, many sneaker aficionados have been waiting for a third colorway for quite some time now.
Lastly, because both of the original Airy Yeezy 2 colorways were released on the same day, many speculated that the third colorway wouldn’t release for awhile. Most thought that it would happen by the end of the year but it has clearly taken more time than expected.

For now it is only a rumor, but when a rumor this big gets picked up by so many people, Nike usually follows through with an actual release. We will see how this pans out and you can rest assure that we will be updating you on this story as it unfolds.
