Kim Jong-Un needs to give it a rest.

DETAILS: UH OH! North Korea Suggests Evacuating All Foreign Diplomats

Tensions are high as North Korea stands behind their threat to initiate an attack on the United States. Reportedly, the country is set to run its fourth nuclear test, prompting the U.S. to collaborate with South Korea to plan a response to the threats more aggressively in hopes of de-escalating the situation.

If North Korea decides to turn their words into actions, Pentagon officials have said that the missile will be shot down within seconds if directed to South Korea, Japan or Guam. However, if the missile is aimed towards a body of water, no action will be taken.

Despite North Korea’s threats, Dan Pfeiffer, a senior advisor to President Obama, doesn’t seem to be worrying because the situation is “a pattern of behavior [we’ve] seen from the North Koreans many times.”

Without any evidence of great danger or nuclear war heads, officials see no reason to retaliate. For now, officials are more concerned with peacefully communicating with North Korea.

But that doesn’t mean the U.S. isn’t walking on egg shells.

Gary Samore, President Obama’s past nuclear advisor, said, “How we carry out a proportional retaliation without triggering a general conflict, or an assault on Seoul, is the hardest part of the problem. Everyone is aware there are not big margins for error here.”

It is assumed that Kim Jong Un’s actions are fueled by the need to prove to be a worthy leader despite inexperience. But whatever the case, he needs to have a seat!
