Lindsay Lohan displayed some seldom seen emotion when she got teary eyed on the Late Show with David Letterman as the two talked about the actress entering rehab last night.

The troubled starlet hit up the late night show to promote Scary Movie 5, but the conversation focused more on LiLo’s past than the movie she was trying to promote.

Letterman jumped right into it, saying:

“Now, aren’t you supposed to be in rehab now?” the 65-year-old comedian asked.

“Do you not watch anything that goes on? What are you, a tabloid now?” the 26-year-old Lohan shot back with a tight smile. She said May 2 is her deadline to report for the three months of rehab that a California judge gave her for reckless driving and lying to police about a car wreck last June.

“How many times have you been in rehab?” Letterman asked.

“Several,” Lohan replied, turning away to glare at someone offstage.

“And how will this time be different? What are they rehabbing, first of all? What is on their list? What are they going to work on when you walk through the door?” Letterman continued as the audience laughed.

Lindsay eventually got serious and said that this current stint in rehab is a blessing.

“I think, to be honest, I’m the happiest when I’m working and the healthiest, and I think this an opportunity for me to, you know, focus on what I love in life. And I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s a blessing … and not a curse,” she said.
