Houston, we have a new star on our hands and her name is Ariana Grande. We’ve been hooked on A ever since she made our hearts melt with her Mac Miller-assisted “The Way” video (*insert googly eye emoticon here*).
As it turns out, we can expect a lot more from the singer this year. During the red carpet at the Billboard Awards this past Sunday, Billboard caught up with Ariana, where she revealed some crucial details about her debut album, Daydreamin’, including when the project will drop.
Ariana said the album should be coming out in “late August,” however, it seemed like she didn’t want to reveal too much:
“There is a date set. We have a track list set. Now I just have to get in the booth and sing a little more, finish it up.”
Ariana got her start on TV, of course, starring in the popular Nickelodeon show Victorious. The 19-year-old hasn’t completely left that realm, either. She’s returning to TV to star in a new Victorious and iCarly spinoff called Sam & Cat.
Speaking on that show, Ariana said:
“It’s action-packed and fun and really playful — [it’s] not so serious.”
Damn, this girl is putting in serious work.
