While most teenagers are out playing and going to the mall, 15-year-old Madison Robinson is already a self-proclaimed millionaire.
Feeling pathetic yet?
While we were worried about boys and Beyonce at 15, Madison was all about her paper. She came up with an innovative idea for flip-flops made for kids, calling them Fish-Flops.
Madison’s creative flare started when was just 8-years-old, playing with the idea of battery operated flip-flops. Soon after, her father jumped on board and decided to help with her dream (her dad is a t-shirt designer, which is clearly where Madison gets her style-sense from).
Madison eventually launched her collection of Fish-Flops two years ago. Fish-Flops has an underwater sea theme, making them attractive to the eye using a variety of colors…
Madison wrote to Nordstrom in hopes of selling her product. And if her bank account is any indication, they loved the idea!
“I wrote a letter to the buyers,” she told a Houston Fox reporter. “I didn’t think I would get in, but I did.”
Fish-Flops are now in 60 Nordstrom locations nationwide. Madison the millionaire has sold over 60,000 pairs.
Now, we’re left to think about why our teenage years were so unproductive. You go girl!
