After Nicki Minaj showed her fans her softer side with “Your Love”, she’s going back to her roots with the sexed-up, bad bish lyrics. Her newest song, “Ice cream Man” was released by The Lime Light Exclusives today, and it sounds like vintage, “Itty Bitty Piggy” Nicki. The Queens-bred rapper reverts to her old methods of combining thinly veiled, sexually charged innuendos and nursery rhyme references (Note her use of the phrase “Hickory Dickory”) to come out with a sound that is both cutesy and dirty at the same time.
Self-proclaimed Barbies will love this song, make it their ring tones, and quote it randomly via Facebook and Twitter, but anti-Nicki hip-hop fans won’t be into it.
