Now this is interesting.

Remember Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev? Now if you recall, last week a Chechen man who was friends with the slain Tsarnaev was shot to death by the FBI during a questioning session that went awry. Sources said that Ibragim Todashev, 27, was armed with a knife and attacked agents when they visited his apartment on May 22.

But now authorities are admitting that Todashev was actually unarmed. Meaning he had no knife at all. Meaning…somebody made that little bit up.

But the day of the shooting, the FBI said that an agent, along with two Massachusetts State Police troopers and other law enforcement personnel, were interviewing “an individual” in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing investigation when a “violent confrontation was initiated by the individual.” The result?

An agent sustained non-life-threatening injuries, later described by one law enforcement official as “some cuts and abrasions.”

Now that it has been revealed that the suspect was not armed, the FBI is investigating the situation, but say that they may not finish the probe for several months.

“The FBI takes very seriously any shooting incidents involving our agents and as such we have an effective, time-tested process for addressing them internally,” FBI spokesman Paul Bresson said in a statement Wednesday. “The review process is thorough and objective and conducted as expeditiously as possible under the circumstances.”

Hmmm…we’ll be watching closely. Do you think this situation smells a little…fishy?
