As the weeks fly by, Wale is putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming album, The Gifted. A few weeks ago, Wale released what he calls his “most personal single” off The Gifted.
“LoveHate Thing” featuring Sam Dew brings back that soul and funk that hip-hop’s been missing over the years. The Sarah McColgan-directed video appears to feature a suited up Wale and his friends performing in a soul band. While taking a break from shooting, Wale revealed that “LoveHate Thing” was the very first song he wrote for his new album.
Last week, Wale released the video for his Self Made Vol. 3 banger “Poor Decisions,” and on Monday, Wale dropped “Rotation” featuring 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa.
Wale’s third studio album, The Gifted, will drop June 25.
