Today when Cumulus Media, the second-biggest broadcaster in the country, announced that they were planning on dropping conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, we were all like:
If Cumulus sticks with the plan, that means Limbaugh would be cut from nearly 40 stations. Which means one thing – his hate won’t be broadcast so widely anymore. So the chances of us hearing things like this:
On Anthony Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, forgiving him for sexting another woman: “It’s relevant to point out here by the way … Huma is a Muslim. In that regard, Weiner ought to be able to get away with anything….Muslim women don’t have any power, right? Muslim women are beheaded, stoned, whatever, if they drive, have affairs. In certain countries, Muslim women, if they’re raped, are killed — it’s their fault.”
Or this…
“Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women access to the mainstream of society.”
And his reason why Native Americans need not complain…
“Holocaust? Ninety million Indians? Only four million left? They all have casinos — what’s to complain about?”
Or this super confusing statement…
“Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”
And this foolishness…
“The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.”
Or what he really doesn’t care about…
On black people wanting to be heard: “They are 12 percent of the population, who the hell cares?”
Or this statement that might make you gasp…
To a female African American caller: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”
And more shade towards women…
“I think this reason why girls don’t do well on multiple choice tests goes all the way back to the Bible, all the way back to Genesis, Adam and Eve. God said, ‘All right, Eve, multiple choice or multiple orgasms, what’s it going to be?’ We all know what was chosen.”
And everything he’s ever said about President Obama, including this…
“In Obama’s America, the white kids now get beat up, with the black kids cheering, ‘Yeah, right on, right on, right on’ … Kid shouldn’t have been on the bus anyway. We need segregated buses — it was invading space and stuff.”
And that time he called GlobalGrind’s News & Politics editor a separatist when she pointed out that black people are distrustful of law enforcement, as if what he says every day doesn’t divide this country…
“This whole racial strife stuff, this divide, bothers me. It bothers me as an American. It bothers me for the future of the country. Of course it bothers me politically. But all this stuff happens and it just seems to cement the idea that any kind of unifying of people of any difference is just hopeless in this country, at least at the moment.”
Or his idea of what hard work is…
“Let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do — let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do that work.”
Or…this:
Will be slim. Unless of course, someone helps this man gets another television break. In which case…we’re all screwed.
