That ’70s Show actress Laura Prepon became a household name yet again after her role on the hit Netflix series Orange Is The New Black. Laura plays Alex Vause, an integral character in the series’ storyline. Unfortunately, it seems that role may be a short lived one – as Laura plans to leave the show!
According to sources close to the show, Laura, who plays Piper Chapman’s former girlfriend and drug lord, plans to return sporadically in season 2. However, she will no longer be a fixture in the series. Laura plans to appear enough times to resolve her story.
Orange Is The New Black is arguably the most successful series put out by Netflix. The series was created by Jenji Kohan, the genius behind Weeds, and is based on a memoir written by Piper Kerman. So why would Laura leave at the peak of its popularity?
I know what my fellow Orange Is The New Black fanatics are thinking. What will the show be without Alex and Piper? Fear not! There’s plenty of drama to go around.
The show’s writers have left the door open for Laura to return any time she’d like.
