A shocking video taken this past weekend shows how scary it is to be a motorcyclist on the road…and a driver on the road with motorcyclists.
The video above shows the driver of an SUV crashing not once, but twice into a group of motorcyclists in NYC. The bikers start to chase the man, surrounding the black Range Rover. At one point, one biker even tries to enter the vehicle.
But what looks like a hit and run is actually something bigger.
According to police, the bikers started to damage the vehicle before any of this happened because the driver hit a biker on accident. When they surrounded the vehicle, which held his wife and young child, he panicked and sped off, hitting several bikers in his path.
At another point in the video, he hits one more biker as he tries to escape, in what some are calling a fight for his life. Apparently he was frightened by the large group of bikers and tried desperately to get his family out of harms way.
Unfortunately for both parties, that didn’t work. The bikers who were hurt in the accident will be fine, as will the driver, who at one point gets stuck in traffic and pulled out of his vehicle. The group beats him up, leaving him with bruises and lacerations. He was taken to the hospital.
Police say that no one has been arrested, and they are still investigating the incident.
