Wait, so does that mean Marina Shifrin gets a plaque?

One of the more popular videos to be released over the last couple weeks featured a disgruntled employee named Marina Shifrin quitting her job at a Taiwanese animation company.

It wasn’t the act of quitting that made the video great, it was how she did it. She made a video dancing along to Kanye West’s 2005 Late Registration cut “Gone.”

Now the song — which also features Consequence and the Gawd Cam’ron — has debuted on the Hot 100 this week, coming in at number 18.

What’s even more amazing is that the eight-year-old song is the fifth highest debut a Kanye song has made in the Hot 100 chart.

Kanye’s highest debut came in 2008 with “Love Lockdown.”
