Once upon a time, a Kanye West interview wasn’t a rarity, until it was. And now? Well now, Mr. West has been spending quite a bit of time with the TV and radio world, opening up in a flurry of no-holds-barred radio interviews.

Yesterday, Young Yeezus swung by Big Boy’s Neighborhood to chop it up with the cast, but the man who once referred to himself as the Louis Vuitton Don threw a blow at the brand.

During his interview, Kanye mentioned that if the opportunity was presented to him again, he would not design for LV due to their high prices.

“If I had the opportunity to design for Louis Vuitton now I wouldn’t, because the prices are just too extreme.” West added that he does not want to send out a “message to have kids saving up that much to be a part of what [my] ideas are.”

The commentary may have been appropriate in timing, as his “Big Brother” Jay Z is unwillingly wrapped up in a situation with Barneys. But it all seems a bit strange coming from the man who just produced a $120 white t-shirt with A.P.C. Add in the fact that Kanye last collaborated on a line of sneakers with Louis Vuitton back in 2009 and the designs ranged in price from $840 to $1,140.

Later in the day, Kanye stopped by Los Angeles’ 97.1 Amp Radio where he, again, spoke about style, cleared up any misconceptions about the Confederate flag seen on all his tour merch, and discussed the term ‘fashion’ and what it means to him.

Kanye continued on to talk about North West and his desire to be a soccer dad and design their uniforms one day. Check out some more excerpts from the 97.1 Amp Radio interview below (transcript courtesy of Miss Info).

The people’s reaction of the Confederate flag use in his Yeezus tour merch:

“React how you want. Any energy you got is good energy. I represented slavery, my abstract take on what I know about it, I wrote ‘New Slaves.’ So I took the Confederate flag and made it my flag. What are you going to do?”

On the tour merchandise selling great so far:

“People just look cool in it. They look nice. It’s colorless. It’s super hood, but it’s super white boy approved at the same time. That’s my style. I don’t look like a rapper. When I started, I wasn’t gangster enough. I’m getting married to Kim Kardashian and I never played in the NBA.”

On Obama’s fashion sense:

“Obama? Nobody’s looking at what Obama is wearing. I’m the No. 1 inspirational person in fashion.”

The term “fashion:”

“I want to stop using the term ‘fashion’ because Eve made Adam bite an apple and since then it’s been illegal to be naked. I’m helping people follow the law in style. This isn’t about fashion. I’m creating new standards so you don’t have to think of it. I’ll do all the hard work. I’ll figure out where that collar goes and how many times you can wash that fabric…It’s not about fashion, it’s about life. I’ll work on this, you take your kids to the park.”

Splitting time between work and family:

“I hang out with my girl and my daughter every day. No place I’d rather be. Not even when I’m thinking about things I’m creating in business, my biggest goal is to get home to family. I want to figure out a way to do my work and be my daughter’s soccer coach. I’m going to be a soccer coach and redesign their uniforms. I’ll redesign the mini-van.”

Kanye is now a Kardashian family man. We kind of dig that he is opening up a bit more, but he better watch that mouth when he talks about Obama! :: Scowl face ::
