Another Brooklyn teenager has been killed due to a wreckless shooting.

Iquan Williams attended a party in Brownsville, Brooklyn, but was shot dead while standing in a doorway just hours after his parents had warned him not to go.

According to the NY Daily News, the parents were advised that there would be a shooting at the party, but he decided to go against their advisement.

As his parents arrived on the scene, his mother Tiana cried out:

“They got my baby! They got my baby!”

Iquan, who was a sophomore at Frederick Douglass Academy, had planned to go to the party, but his brother found out that someone was bringing a gun to it through Facebook.

His mother told the press:

“We called him at 9 p.m., and said, ‘Don’t go.’” Williams said, tears streaming down her face. “He texted me (around 10 p.m.). I said, ‘Watch your surroundings. Be careful.’ He said, ‘I love you.’ I said, ‘I love you.’”

“He said he wouldn’t, but he went … ”

His parents don’t believe that Iquan was the target of the shooting, and that he happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

We pray for the family of Iquan Williams during this time.
