Months after the release of her sex tape, Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom, MTV star Farrah Abraham is experiencing some serious regrets.

“It made it hard to have friend and a private life and to trust family, who I feel use me for money,” the reality star told In Touch. “If I went back in time, I would not have done it. The sex tape ruined my life.”

Despite being warned multiple times that selling the tape would send the wrong message to her 4-year-old daughter Sophia, Farrah made the decision to cash in on her X-rated film. She says now, however, that it wasn’t long before she realized she had made a terrible mistake.

“Knowing my sex tape was out there for everyone in the world to see was overwhelming,” she said. “I wanted to hide my face and not go out or pick up my phone.”

The film has not only affected her personal life, but also her love life. Abraham says that during her 22nd birthday bash at the Hard Rock Hollywood in Florida, she met DJ Brian Dawe. According to Farrah, the pair hit it off and started dating shortly after. Unfortunately, the relationship quickly ended.

“He abandoned me,” she said.

Brian and Farrah allegedly agreed to appear on VH1’s Couples Therapy, but Brian bailed last minute. Farrah went ahead with her plans to do the show, arriving to the house solo.

“Therapy helped me understand I can’t continue experiencing life the way I had been, that I’m more special than sex tapes,” she said. “Hearing others tell me my worth is all based on my body….I’m stronger than that.”

We’re glad she finally realized this. Better late than never.
