New York Fashion Week has, at week-long last, come to a close. We can now come up from our smart phones and obsessive Instagram updates to rub our tired feet and assess NYFW as a whole.
While it may have been all about the clothes, the trends and the fashion, there were almost too many moments to count…but one consistent event throughout was Zendaya Coleman. Yep, the girl was an event in and of herself.
In the last year, Zendaya’s stylist Luxury Law has quite literally taken Zendaya from a Disney star popular with the young ones, to a front-row fashion show fixture that the sartorial world is pretty much obsessed with – ourselves included. While we do keep in mind that Zendaya is not quite legal at 17, her outfits always tend to err on the cautious line of being absolutely fashionable, while never showing too much of anything.
Throughout the week, Zendaya was strategically placed in the front rows of shows like Jeremy Scott, Betsey Johnson, Pamela Rolland, and Rebecca Minkoff, and styled carefully for each, keeping things versatile in wardrobe, hair and makeup. Oh, and the shoe game? Immaculately on point.
Mark our words, Zendaya’s juxtaposition in the fashion world will pay off in the editorial realms in the months to come.
