August Alsina takes it to church on his latest release, “Benediction.”
With the help of Maybach Music’s general Rick Ross, the New Orleans singer/songwriter pays homage to his late brother on the smooth and soulful track.
“We were down from the beginning, when the world wasn’t listening/Now that I got your attention, let us in with a benediction,” sings August.
August’s debut album, Testimony, is scheduled to hit store shelves on April 15. August’s LP will feature guest appearances by Rick Ross, Fabolous, Pusha T, Yo Gotti, and Young Jeezy.
Fans can catch the 21-year-old crooner on the “2 Good To Be T.R.U” tour with 2 Chainz and Pusha T.
