With Tha Carter’s 10-year anniversary right around the corner, Lil Wayne is readying the fifth and final installment of Tha Carter series.
In a recent interview with MTV, Lil Wayne revealed that this album is “older and wiser.”
“I say it’s different, because I’m older and wiser, and I know more things and I know more about myself now. I’m more careful about what I’m doing and trying to be more careful about what I’m saying.”
Tune also discussed the indiscretions throughout his career, and how his team saved him.
“There were times when I didn’t care. It’s not that I didn’t care, it’s just that I knew that I had people above me or around me that was gonna make sure whatever I said or shouldn’t have said or whatever I did or shouldn’t have did. Well now, I’m those people, and I’m telling me what I should do and what I shouldn’t say.”
YMCMB recently released their compilation album, Young Money: Rise Of An Empire. Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V is due out later on this year.
