For seven long years viewers tuned in to watch Cory, Shawn, Topanga, Eric and the rest of the “Boy Meets World” crew go through the motions of life. Dating, family issues, surviving high school & going off to college – you name it, they went through it and viewers went through it right along with it!

Though the show, which was beloved by many, came to an end in 2000, producers are bringing it back, allowing a whole new generation of television watchers to grow up with everyone’s favorite TV show ‘family.’ Well, sort of anyway. 14 years later Disney channel has signed on to create a spin-off of the show, chronicling Corey and Topanga’s life as parents. The network released the first official trailer for the series and it’s everything we could have imagined.

Because everything we know about life we learned from one episode or another of Boy Meets World, we’ve decided to share some of the best life lessons doled out on the show.

For starters, Boy Meets World taught us all a little something about the birds and the bees…

We also learned a thing or two about friendship…

…showing the people you love just how much you care…

…true love…

…and the importance of space in relationships.

Speaking of relationships, Boy Meets World kept it totally real about how difficult girls can be…

…but make no mistake, men are no walk in the park either!

Topanga taught young girls that it’s A-OK to be a feminist…

…you don’t have to be restricted by the ‘laws of fashion’…

…and you can never dream too big!

The show taught viewers that life’s a little weird…embrace it…

…and it’s not always easy, but you’ll get through!

We learned the importance of just being who you are…

…and that looks aren’t everything….

…unless they’re all you’re workin’ with.

Self control shelf control. Always eat the pizza…

The ever-wise faculty of John Adams High taught us not to believe everything we see in the media…

…and that anything is possible if you believe in yourself.

Eric showed viewers that change can be scary – and laundry is really effing difficult…

…and of course, the number one rule of being home alone…

He also brought us the golden rule of creepin’…

While Mr. Feeney emphasized that family comes in all different shapes and sizes…

Some things, no matter how bizarre, are better left unsaid…

…and you can’t wait to go after what you want!

Lastly, Boy Meets World taught fans that there’s nothing a good old fashion nurf war can’t solve!
