When Nas wasn’t wooing thousands of Coachella festival goers with a performance of his extensive musical catalogue, the legendary Queensbridge emcee was celebrating the 20th anniversary of his classic album Illmatic.

As the face of Hennessy’s “WildRabbit” campaign, Nas invited his closest celebrity friends and industry insiders to celebrate his 1994 debut album, along with refreshingly festive spirits provided by Hennessy V.S. All the action went down at the Ingleside Inn in Palm Springs, California on Sunday, April 13.

Celebrities like actor Lance Gross, Romeo, Karrueche Tran, Jermaine Dupri, and so many more great artists came out to celebrate 20 years of excellence with Nas, as well as indulge in an exclusive sneak peek of Nas’ Erik Parker & One 9-produced documentary, Time Is Illmatic.

During the intimate brunch, Erik Park and One 9 gushed about the documentary and Nas’ influence on popular culture.

“Truly an honor and a privilege to share the story of ‘Illmatic.’ His story has become our story. We are inspired by Nas’ drive to represent something greater than himself and his commitment to be a truth-teller in everything he stands for.”

Time Is Illmatic will officially premiere at Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday, April 16. Check out the celebration of Nas’ Illmatic at Coachella Music Festival in the gallery below.
