If you watched Donald Sterling’s full interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper Monday night, you’re probably still trying to lift your jaw up off the floor like we are.

The disgraced owner of the LA Clippers finally broke his silence in an interview turned tearful mea culpa that pointed the finger at everyone else and managed to offend more people than his racist recordings did.

And yes, that happened.

Through vitriol spewed at Magic Johnson and black communities, Sterling did, however, manage to croak out a sort-of apology for his racist remarks.

“I’m a good member who made a mistake and I’m apologizing and I’m asking for forgiveness. Am I entitled to one mistake, am I after 35 years? I mean, I love my league, I love my partners. Am I entitled to one mistake? It’s a terrible mistake, and I’ll never do it again.”

“I’m not a racist,” Sterling told Cooper. “I made a terrible mistake. I’m here to apologize.”

But enter the Sterling we met on the racist recordings that led to his lifetime ban from the NBA. Like the one who told Anderson Cooper that African-Americans never help anybody, but Jews do.

Here are some of the most bizarre, discriminative, delusional and ridiculous things the 80-year-old told a shocked Cooper last night:

After alleging it was Johnson who told him to stay quiet for so long after the release of the recordings:

“He just said ‘Wait, be patient, I’ll help you, we’ll work it out,’” Sterling said. “He thought the whole thing will be resolved in two weeks. What has he done? Can you tell me? Big Magic Johnson, what has he done? He’s got AIDS.”

“Here’s a man I don’t know if I should say this, he acts so holy. He made love with every girl in every city in America, and he had AIDS, and when he had those AIDS, I went to my synagogue and I prayed for him. I hoped he could live and be well.”

Again…let’s just run part of that statement back:

” …and when he had THOSE AIDS…”

On why Johnson shouldn’t be a role model:

“Well, what kind of a guy goes to every city, has sex with every girl, then he catches HIV? Is that someone we want to respect and tell our kids about? I think he should be ashamed of himself. I think he should go into the background. But what does he do for the black people? He doesn’t do anything.”

On African-American communities:

“That’s one problem I have. Jews when they get successful they will help their people and some of the African-Americans — maybe I’ll get in trouble again — they don’t want to help anybody,”

“The Jewish people have a company and it’s for people who wanted to borrow money at no interest. We want to help people. If they don’t have the money, we’ll loan it to you. You don’t have interest, one day you’ll pay us back. I’m just telling you, he does nothing. It’s all talk.”

On Anderson Cooper being a racist (yep, those tables were turned):

“I think you have more of a plantation mentality than I do. I think you’re a bigger racist than I am.”

On how V. Stiviano “baited” him into saying racist remarks:

“I don’t know why the girl had me say those things….I was baited.  I mean, that’s not the way I talk.”

And then he kind of said she was ugly:

“This girl, 100 other men could look at her and they wouldn’t even think she was pretty.”

On black people wanting to be around him:

“There’s no African-American – never mind. I’m sorry. They all want to play golf with me. Everybody wants to be with me.”

When he insisted that the fans and players still love him:

“The players don’t hate me. The sponsors don’t hate me. The fans don’t me. The media hates. The media, it’s all the media pushing.”

When Cooper pointed out that the team might, in fact, hate him and protested because of his racist remarks, Sterling said this:

“Well, if one does then the others have to do it….what do you think? You think they’re all going to walk off the team? Can any of us just stop working? We all have to work. We all have to earn a living. We all have bills. We may work for an employer we don’t love. I contend that they love me.”
