We always knew Ellie Goulding liked to let things burn, but we didn’t know that translated over to her calories. The “Burn” and “Life Round Here” singer shows just what burning calories gets you, as she shows off her abs in a cropped top and red track pants on the cover of Self magazine’s August issue.

Inside the mag, the Brit opens up about how she got such a hot body – and it’s more than the workout she gets from performing. Ellie has a very rigorous routine, combining boxing, gymnastics, martial arts, yoga, and Insanity.

To the normal person, one activity would be enough, but Ellie describes her routine as a necessity to fulfilling her day and life.

“My training is part of my life. It’s something I need to do every day, because it affects my mood, my fitness, even my mind-set onstage.”

If that wasn’t enough, she also makes time to go on a run outside her London apartment. As for her favorite exercise routine, she says she loves yoga.

“I get the biggest high when I do yoga. People don’t realize that there’s such an incredible drug in life that doesn’t involve any substances.”

You have to admire a girl with a set of good priorities, especially ones as disciplined as hers. The workout won’t end for Ellie this summer, though. Respecting her health and body is a major priority and way of living.

“I’ve gained slightly different priorities while being on this planet, and one of them is to respect my body and to do as much as I can with it while I’m here.”
