Kanye West may be a College Dropout, but the rapper is going back to school. And, nope, he isn’t re-enrolling to finally finish that degree of his.

Yesterday, we told you that ‘Ye is putting down the mic (or dramatically dropping it on the ground and then walking off the stage) and picking up the chalk. In accordance with the plea deal from his paparazzi battery case back in March, Kanye is carrying out his 250 community service hours by speaking at fashion schools, according to TMZ. Yesterday, Yeezy reportedly made his third visit to the L.A. Trade Technical College to talk to students about his foray into fashion.

But anyone who’s been following the rap lord and savior Yeezus BYE (Before Yeezus Era) knows that he’s been dropping gems when it comes to the who/what/wear of fashion with lyrics laced with designer name drops and his “couture level flow.” There are plenty of lessons to be learned just from his discography alone, but here are 11 things Yeezus has taught us about fashion and style worth taking note of, in no particular order.

Am I shallow ‘cause all my clothes designer?/Dressed smart like a London bloke, before he speak his suit bespoke/And you thought he was cute before/Look at this pea coat, tell me he’s broke”

–”American Boy”

Lesson Learned: Style speaks, even when you don’t, and the label language is a universal one.

How I’m suppose to stand out when everybody get dressed up?/So yeah, at the Grammys I went ultra Travolta/Yeah that tuxedo might have been a little guido/But with my ego I can stand there in a speedo/And be looked at like a fucking hero

–”The Glory”

Lesson Learned: Confidence is always key. No matter how ridiculous you look.

The Lyor Cohen of Dior Homme/That’s Dior Homme, not Dior, homie

–”Devil in a New Dress”

Lesson Learned: FASHUN. You’ve been saying it wrong.

Back when Gucci was the shit to rock/Back when Slick Rick got the shit to pop/I’d do anything to say I got it/Damn, them new loafers hurt my pocket.

–”Touch the Sky”

Lesson Learned: You could fake it ’til you make it, but by ballin’ on a budget, your wallet will thank you.

So if the devil wear Prada, Adam, Eve wear nada, I’m in between, but way more fresher/With way less effort, cause when you try hard/ That’s when you die hard

–”Can’t Tell Me Nothing”

Lesson Learned: The very best dressed are those who can master the minimalist look.

Bought the chain that always give me back pain/Fucking up my money so yeah I had to act sane

–”Monster”

Lesson Learned: Bigger is NOT always better when it comes to that bling-bling.

Sunglasses and Advil/Last night was mad real/Sun comin’ up, 5 a.m./I wonder if they got cabs still

–”No Church in the Wild”

Lesson Learned: Sunglasses. They’re an essential accessory for more reasons than one.

Yeezy season approaching/Fuck whatever y’all been hearing/Fuck what, fuck whatever y’all been wearing/The monster about to come alive again

–”On Sight”

Lesson Learned: It’s better to be a trendsetter than a fad follower.

What’s Gucci, my nigga? What’s Louis, my killa? What’s drugs, my dealer? What’s that jacket, Margiela?

–”Niggas in Paris”

Lesson Learned: Yes, yes it is Margiela. It’s always Margiela. All of it.

Ignore the critics just to say we did it/This ain’t no fashion show, motherfucker, we live it

–”Made in America”

Lesson Learned: Or, in the words of Coco Chanel, “Everyday is a fashion show and the world is the runway.”

They ordered champagne but still look thirsty/Rock Forever 21 but just turned thirty

–”Bound 2″

Lesson Learned: Ladies, let’s keep it age appropriate.
