Flight delays can be the worst, but one pilot made sure his passengers were well taken care of after they were stuck on a plane tarmac for hours.

According to NBC News, Frontier Airlines pilot Gerhard Bradner ordered over 30 pizzas for his passengers on Monday night after their flight from Washington, D.C. to Denver was diverted to Wyoming because of a serious thunderstorm. With the passengers growing restless and hungry as they waited on the plane, Bradner called up Domino’s and ordered some pizza.

“I was getting hungry and we’re kind of a big family here at Frontier,” he said. “We take care of each other and I think it was time for me to take care of my passengers. So I called Domino’s and ordered some pizza. Whoever’s with me, they’re not going to go hungry.”

The 160 people aboard were able to relax as they ate their dinner provided by the pilot. After a two-hour delay, the passengers landed in Denver safe and full just before midnight.

See what the power of pizza (and kindness) can do?
